 About Us

F
ounded in 1996, the Atlantic  Social Research Corporation is a client-centered firm that specializes in research design and statistical analysis.  Our purpose is to design empirical studies for not-for-profit and for-profit corporations in the information age.

In today's information age, we need reliable, accurate, and timely data on a wide range of social, economic and consumer-related issues if we are to make the best decisions about our policies, programs and services.  These decisions usually involve planning, collecting and analyzing data, marketing, implementation, and evaluation.

In this age, more than any prior period, with access to a wide range of data sources and state-of-the-art analytic tools, we must use the technology as creatively as possible and present the outcomes to multiple audiences as effectively
  as we can.

The focus of the Atlantic Social Research Corporation is on bridging the creative use of information technology with decision-making strategies to provide our clients with the best solutions for today's corporate challenges.

How We Begin Each Project with Our Clients

We are a client-centered corporation.  Since every client has a unique set of interests and challenges, we cannot address your needs until we first gain a solid understanding of them.  In our initial contact we try to learn:

    Specific needs and background
    Scope of the investigation
    Key issues to be examined

During this time we also try to determine:

A broad definition of the assignment
    Anticipated outcomes and results
    The data gathering methodology
    Approximate time and cost

At this initial point there is no obligation on either side.  Once gathered, the above information helps the client decide whether we are the best research team to handle the assignment, and helps us to determine if we can do the job properly in the time available.

When appropriate, the details and results of this discussion are confirmed in a written proposal outlining:

    Our understanding of the assignment
    Our suggested approach
    Organization of the work
    Expected results and deliverables
    Estimated time and costs

The client has no obligation until our proposal is accepted.
During each assignment, periodic updates are given.  These
are augmented by at least one interim review to summarize
our findings and discuss any modifications in the direction for
the balance of the project.  Upon completion of our work, we
present our findings in the form of a written report.  Fees are
based on our time plus expenses.
